One Morning in San Francisco with Canon EOS 40D

I spent almost a week in San Francisco attending AGU (American Geophysical Union) Fall Meeting. I traveled with all my photo gear, but managed to spend only one morning with a camera. I don't count some snapshots of Union Square taken from the window of St Francis Hotel. It is difficult to think about photography before your conference presentation.

The pictures above were taken around sunrise from Yerba Buena Gardens near Moscone Convention Center where the conference was taking place. Fountains and waterfalls were not running at sunrise, but I enjoyed my time there without crowds - just a few people walking, meditating or practicing tai chi.

It was an outdoor debut of my new Canon EOS 40d.
