After 6 months of submitting pictures to iStockphoto, I just reached the "bronze canister" level with 250 downloads. The picture crossing the line today was this wintertime shot of the Devil's Backbone rocks near Loveland, Colorado. It was the first sale of this picture.

Some numbers about my iStock portfolio after 6+ months and 250 downloads:

• 222 pictures overall, 69 pictures downloaded, "sell-through-rate": 31%
• total earnings: $245.21 ( $0.98 per download in average, most downloads are in Xsmall and small sizes)
• acceptance rate: 64.3% (somewhat higher recently)

It is a quite important milestone since my weekly upload limit will increase from 15 to 20 images. I will be able to submit more pictures to iStock which remains the best performing microstock agency for me.

My next goal is to reach 500 pictures in my iStock portfolio by the end of this year. I will speculate about my earnings prediction in one of the incoming posts.
