Back with Drape

Upon first seeing a Polaroid Image Transfer, I was immediately drawn to the soft, romantic likeness resulting from the process. I felt the muted colors and delicate feel, more characteristic of a watercolor painting than of traditional photography, would only complement images of female form. While I often photograph and transfer landscapes and architectural elements, it is the results involving the human figure I find most satisfying.

Until now, I have been using 35mm transparencies with the Daylab, Polaroid 669 film, and Arches hot press paper for my transfers. I have just acquired an 8x10 Polaprinter and film processor and will begin to experiment with the larger format.
