Futuroscope is a theme park in the south of France. It is futuristic; the buildings, the movies, the attractions. For photographers it is unique. The tomato is also taken at Futuroscope, but it is difficult to see that it is not a real tomato.

In Belgium, nearby the coast, there is a lot of agriculture, but on small pieces of land. Scarecrows are common. This picture was taken on an early morning at the end of the Winter, it has frozen and everything was white. The red shirt gives a lot of contrast with the clear blue sky. 4x5 emulsion transfer on Fabriano Artistico

In addition to Polaroid transfers, I do a lot of other alternative processes (bromoil, salted paper, gum bichromate, vandykebrown, cyanotype). For me, only one specifique technique can be used for a certain image. Not the technique for the technique, but the process must support the image, it must give the image that extra accent, that depth, that feeling, that finnishing touch. It is on the time of taking the picture that I decide what the process, used for the image, will be used.
